Week 8 Reflection
This week, I explored EdTech integration models, including the SAMR model, TPACK framework, Technology Integration Matrix (TIM), and the Community of Inquiry Model (COI).
The SAMR model describes different technology integration. I can imagine myself using this model as a teacher to identify and reflect on how technology supports learning tasks.

The TPACK framework describes teachers’ technological knowledge, pedagogical knowledge, content knowledge, and the overlap and interaction between them. This framework is a good reminder to teachers to integrate all aspects to create engaging, purposeful technology-integrated tasks.

TIM is a framework that guides the use of technology to enhance learning. I think it would be useful in designing lesson plans and guide how I would like to integrate technology. I could also use TIM to create learning targets for students and assessments. I also like how it is structured, almost like a checklist.

COI model highlights collaborative-constructivist learning experiences through social, cognitive and teaching presence, creating meaningful learning. I think this would be simple to use as a teacher in the classroom and a good reminder to not only focus on content. It should enhance engagement and aid in creating a balanced lesson.

Thanks for a good overview of the four models and how you might apply them in your teaching. Models, like design templates, help guide us to plan instruction that creates meaningful engagement.
