Loaf Number Two
I followed Laren Allen’s homemade bread recipe, which uses a slightly different method and ingredients than heyitstheleos‘ TikTok bread recipe.






This loaf was even fluffier and tastier than the first one I made (Making My First Loaf #fail). I suspect the addition of oil and longer proofing time contributed to this. You can see I also let the yeast proof for much longer (image one), resulting in a lot more foam. I think it could have used a little more salt for flavour but that could have been due to the type of salt I used compared to Laren Allen.
Trying different recipes and comparing results has deepened my understanding of bread baking. For my next loaf, I will attept to make the recipe that ChatGTP created in my second blog post Researching How to Make Bread. Lets see how successful GenAI is. This recipe includes milk instead of water, so I am interested to see how this affects the results.
